In fact, everyone is subconsciously forced to do it.
I'm not saying pleasing people isn't good, they are! Many times, in order to please people we are set to a pile of restrictions. The restrictions... Restrict us la. And we become a better person with more discipline, determination, direction and drive! Also, I'm not promoting that we should only do things to please ourselves, ignoring others' requests and expectations. Sometimes we find happiness pleasing others, don't we? If not why do you celebrate your relatives' birthday parties and attend friends' weddings?!
What I want to bring out is...
We're not made to please the Earth.

Nothing on Earth deserves all our attention, we are incapable of pleasing the world anyway. So you and I should understand why we are so tired, why we get so frustrated, why things just don't seem to receive our efforts - We CANNOT please the world. More than that, "Your life is not about you." RW. Well, who ask us to be creations, not Creator...
Learning to say, "Well, who cares who's talking behind. Who cares who isn't happy about me. Who cares who I'm not satisfying..." isn't at all easy. But when you realign and remember your life's purpose, sometimes really "WHO CARES, just as long I can face Him" seems to run in my blood. The world can go on expecting, the people can go on complaining... But I'm still the one living my life, not them.

No longer an individual revival! But as a cg, as youths of Charis, as a church, WE SHALL REVIVE TOGETHER! It's enough time wasted, chances missed, energy lost... Let's be serious in 2009. Be sincere in building His Kingdom. You know people, most people build themselves as they claim to be building the church. Look into your intentions, motives, thoughts, heart as you serve. Let us not fall into S.A Tan's deceptions.

When someone hurts you in church, it's satan you'll have to battle against, NOT the person! Similarly, whenever you have any negative feelings, unpleasant happenings, dissapointing experience... KNOW WHO ARE WE AGAINST. It's the devil who's trying their best to tear us all apart, it's them who's waiting to see us fall, it's them who are waiting for you to join to disrupt church's growth. Don't hurt anyone, anymore.
2009 is a new start for us. Start good and walk strong. Be united in spirit and body, be Godly at heart and soul, be encouragement to yourselves and others, be joyous in your youths days... Enjoy every minute and not waste any second. Treasure your Fellowships, your ice-breaking chance, worship chance, treasure all your time with your new fellow cgers, cherish all your Sundays.
